Answer: Yes, you can use acrylic paints on a t-shirt. For best results, it is better to mix you acrylic paint with Fabric Medium, it will improve the use and also the flow of your paint when applied to the fabric and didn’t stiff your fabric after drying.

Q9: Can you paint acrylic over oil paints?

Answer: No, you can’t. Acrylics are water-based, and oils are oil-based, so they each have different properties and different needs. You can paint oils over acrylics, but never paint acrylics over oils.
